5 Luxury Home Features

5 Luxury Home Features

Living in a home full of amenities that make life easier is wonderful. There are many features that can be installed that make people happier, healthier and more content with their lives.

1. Distinctive Architecture

A distinguishing feature of many custom luxury homes is the unique architecture. On the outside, the house can be different from its neighbors in size and structure to indicate its grandeur. It can evoke the look of a charming villa, a Victorian mansion, or the home of the future. Inside, grand staircases, open floor plans and vaulted ceilings are hallmarks of a lavish home.

2. Technology

One of the things that make people’s lives easier on a daily basis is technology. Smart houses are becoming more common, and they can have every room of the house wired up to make tasks easy to accomplish from the comfort of the living room couch. Use panels on the wall or apps on a smartphone to arm or deactivate an alarm system, change the temperature settings, lock the doors or turn lights on and off. Other technological advancements that can save the homeowner money include things like solar panels and feature-rich, energy-efficient appliances.

3. Unique Landscaping

While having a sumptuous interior of the house is great, having an equally nice outside is important too. An expanse of a manicured lawn outside of a home always looks good, but extra features can make it truly special. Patios with hot tubs and firepits create gathering spaces people will love to gravitate towards. Elaborate ponds with waterfalls and outdoor water fountains create soothing havens to relax near. A wooded area around the perimeter can be nice for privacy and for taking walks in. Yards can be customized in almost any way desired, which can lead to lovely, unique areas to relax and play in.

4. Master Suite

A master suite complete with a spacious bedroom and opulent spa bathroom makes both getting ready for work and unwinding at the end of the day delightful. Things like a large bed, walk-in closet and a bay window make the room look and feel luxurious. The master bathroom can be customized with many different features. Heated floors, walk-in showers with multiple shower heads, two sinks and extra counter space can allow two people to live together in harmony, or one person to spread out and enjoy not having to share any of the room. Old-fashioned tubs with claw legs or a model that comes fully loaded with jets to massage away the cares of the day.

5. Sports Area

Whether outdoors or indoors, having a place to practice a favorite sport can be a great way to exercise or have fun with friends. Tennis and basketball courts are popular, and a half-court can be installed if space is an issue. Speaker systems can be installed to add some fun background noise or keep people motivated.

While not all homes can have every luxury option on the market, most people can have some version of luxury items that they desire. When looking to purchase or build a home, it is a good idea to make a list of the desired features and try to get as many as possible while being flexible about compromises.
