A UPS for the router and smart-home hub is easy to overlook, but it can make the difference between receiving a leak or storm alert and discovering the problem much later.

    One small addition I would make is to keep alert and maintenance times clear for family members or neighborhood groups coordinating through Discord. Pairing clear timing with sensors, automated shutoffs, and backup power feels like a simple but practical extra layer of preparedness.
